Sotirios has a BSc in Environmental studies from University of the Aegean in Greece, an MSc in Statistics from University of Lancaster in UK and a PhD in Geography (GIS and Remote Sensing) from King’s College London (UK). He is currently an Associate Professor in Geography department at the University of the Aegean. He has publications in peer-review journals and conferences and in the past years has successfully led nine research projects related to Remote Sensing, GIS and Environmental changes. Sotirios is interested in mapping, analyzing, monitoring and modeling spatial patterns of change and particularly land change.
